What’s new in Abode 2:

    Interstellar Transport Company is a fictional company that specializes in transport equipment, vehicles and trains. Founded in India in the late 1940s or early 1950s, by Fred Bedford, the company is a children’s series, written by Albert Lamorisse, based on the animated series. The Interstellar Transport Company (N.B. LIMITS: 1541 to 2025) engages in various adventures and over the course of its history provides intrepid explorers with vehicles and equipment that has ranged from buggies to helicopters and space ships. The company also provides several shows on its children’s television program („Pinky and the Brain”) on the Swedish television network TV4. Other TV4 shows include „South Park – the animated series” (based on the American TV series) and „Mammoth, the saurian” (based on the American TV-movie The Giant Gila Monster). Currently, Interstellar Transport (which is actually a branch of Orion Transport) runs the Zulu City amusement park.

    The Interstellar Transport Company is the oldest host organization for children’s television, owing to the release in 1954 of an animated series (and later, from 1960, a television movie) created and written by Albert Lamorisse and first broadcast in France. But to the surprise of fans, it is not found in the French language Wikipedia, but in the English Wikipedia, as a merging of two articles written by two translators. Both articles are about the same children’s show. The only evidence of a slightly different version is in the French Wikipedia article, which has copyright holder „Orion” together with mentioned TV4 in forte of „Interstellar Transport”.

    The main character in the series is a little girl named Pinky, who was accidently sucked into a mysterious car which transported her to an imaginary planet called „Zulu” owned by the Interstellar Transport Company. There she meets many strange creatures and beings (such as aliens, robots, giant reptiles, monsters and humans). Also encountered are human cities similar to the post-apocalyptic future of the Expatriates and the Mega-City 1 of Judge Dredd. The biggest obstacle before Pinky and her friends are human beings called „Cadets”, which grow up in order to be trained to be zazis, soldiers fighting for the interstellar Transport Company. Pinky and her friends must defend themselves using the vehicles and equipment delivered by the company in order to meet the challenges of their jobs.
